When to Order Your Easter Flowers: A Simple Guide to Beating the Rush

Hi there, I’m Daniel Johnson (Dan). With over 20 years as a florist, I’ve seen it all. Easter always has a way of sneaking up on us! To help you enjoy a stress-free holiday, I’ve broken down the best times to hit that “order” button.

1. The Best Time: 2 to 3 Weeks Before Easter

This is the “Golden Window.” If you want the best experience, this is when you should act.

  • Full Selection: Every flower, color, and specialty vase is still in stock.
  • Your Choice of Date: You get to pick exactly when the flowers arrive.
  • Zero Stress:You can check it off your list and relax while everyone else scrambles.

2. The Busy Window: 1 Week Before Easter

This is our busiest time. You can still get beautiful flowers, but keep these tips in mind:

  • Be Flexible with Delivery: Saturday slots fill up fast. Consider a Thursday or Friday delivery to ensure you get a spot.
  • Trust the Florist:If your first choice is sold out, choose the “Florist’s Choice”option. We will use the freshest blooms arriving that morning to create something unique for you.

3. The Risk Window: 3 Days Before Easter

When to Order Your Easter Flowers ?

I’ll be honest—this is “living dangerously.” Ordering this late means:

  • Limited Stock: Many popular flowers like specific tulips or lilies will be sold out.
  • Delivery Full: Our drivers have a limit. Once the routes are full, we have to stop accepting orders.

Last-Minute Substitutions: If we’re out of a specific color, we’ll have to swap it to ensure it arrives on time.

Which “Flower Buyer” Are You?

  • The Host: Hosting dinner? Order 3 weeks early to get the exact centerpiece that matches your decor.
  • Long-Distance Gift: Sending flowers to family? Order 2 weeks early to account for processing and local delivery schedules.
  • Surprise for the Kids: Want the table to look magical on Easter morning? Order 10 days early and schedule for a Friday delivery.
  • Treating Yourself:Just want the scent of spring? Order earlyfor the highest quality bulbs and freshest stems.

Quick Tips for a Perfect Experience

  1. Plants vs. Bouquets: Potted Easter Lilies are hardy and can be ordered 1 week out. Cut flower arrangements are delicate and should be booked at least 2 weeks early.
  2. Watch the Weather: Ordering early creates a “buffer.” If a storm hits right before Easter, your flowers will already be safe at home.
  3. Special Requests: If you absolutely need a specific color, mention it in the “Special Instructions” box so we can call you if a substitution is needed.

Final Word from Dan: Buying flowers should be joyful, not a logistical headache. At our Online Flower Company, we treat every bouquet like it’s going to our own family. By ordering early, you give us the time to make your arrangement perfect.
